Process of Water Treatment
The Purification of water through, RO water plants can be done by the following procedure.

Coagulation
Chemicals such as alum or ferric chloride are added to the water to destabilize particles and form floc.

Sedimentation
The water is allowed to sit for a period of time, during which time the floc settles to the bottom of the tank or basin.

Filtration
The water is then passed through filters made of sand, gravel, or other materials, which remove remaining particles and impurities.

Disinfection
Chemical disinfectants such as chlorine or chloramine are added to the water to kill any remaining bacteria, viruses, and other harmful organisms.

PH adjustment
The pH level of the water is adjusted to ensure it is within safe and acceptable levels.

Reverse Osmosis
In some cases, additional purification processes such as reverse osmosis are used to remove dissolved solids, salts, and other impurities from the water.
